Overview
Searching is done once you press enter in the search box. The first half of the screen will display a network diagram.
The second half of the screen will display a faculty listing based on the search.
Default Search
By default the search screen searches a persons productivity records as well as a persons name.
Search Options
- ReservedTags - Enter the filter in the following format: {tag}:{value} Ex. tax01:"computer science" or tax03:"physical and mathematical sciences". Only one tag at a time is allowed.
Network Diagram
By default the search screen searches a persons productivity records as well as a persons name. For the time being it's a bit slow to display on the screen.
You can zoom in and out of the screen with the wheel on your mouse. You can move the whole diagram around by dragging and droping with a single mouse click.
Faculty List
By default the faculty list is sorted decending by the relevancey of the person to the search term(s). Click a person's name in the list to view the faculty profile.
Search Syntax
- Terms - A term can be a single word or a phrase. A phrase is a group of words surrounded by double quotes.
- Boolean (OR) - The OR operator is the default conjunction operator. In other words, the search: peanut butter sandwich is the same as peanut OR butter OR sandwich. To make the phrase "peanut butter" required:"peanut butter" sandwich
